Since 1997, in partnership with the RCMP, I have been presenting my
Discover The Magic Within You - SAY NO TO DRUGS program in schools
throughout Atlantic Canada. My program and the children that it
reaches, grows each and every year.
With over 1000 presentations in over 600 schools, my program has
reached 10,000 students and has been a resounding success.
In the past, I have worked with addictions in Grand Falls, Gander,
Stephenville, St. Anthony, Corner Brook as well as PEI and Nova
Scotia. The feedback from my visits has been very positive so I
would like to continue the expansion of this program.
As you may know, my program involves 3 different shows (k-3, 4-6,
and 7-9.) These shows are based on the health curriculum. Being a
former teacher, I understand the importance of reinforcing the
school health curriculum. In addition to my program, each school is
left a handout designed so teachers can use the ideas in the handout
to reinforce the lessons I focus on in my presentations.

Award
Gary has received a National Award by the Pioneers of America for
his magic show on drug awareness. In fact, the Pioneers National
Executive have been so impressed with Gary’s program, they have
adopted it as one of their own National Programs and have begun the
implementation all across Canada.
